Welcome to Edleston

Welcome to Edleston Primary school website.  It has been my privilege to be the Headteacher here since 2004.

At Edleston we pride ourselves on the support and care we give our children; “The outstanding personal development and welfare of pupils lies at the heart of Edleston Primary School’s work.  Leaders and staff know the pupils very well.”  Ofsted May 2016.

We are a small, one form entry school.  We are known for our friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  Our children make good progress and learn well because they enjoy their lessons and they are exceptionally well supported by highly skilled staff.

Our curriculum concentrates on the key skills for literacy and numeracy alongside the remaining subjects in the National curriculum.  We also offer lots of extra curriculum activities, school trips, visitors to the school and special themed days and lunches.

We work closely with parents to ensure that all our children reach their full potential and enjoy their time at primary school.  Parents are invited to family lunch days, after school activities such as bingo and special themed days such as art afternoons.

We welcome visits to the school.  If you would like to come and have a look and see Edleston in action, please do not hesitate to make an appointment.

I look forward to meeting you.

What's Happening

This week is a busy week, as I am sure you can imagine! Our KS2 children are watching The Churches Together performance this afternoon. Our choir were also singing at Eagle Bridge in the morning. I look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Bingo this evening.
Tomorrow [Wednesday] it is our family lunch. This is now full. It is also our football Cup Final match on Wednesday. We are all so excited! Come on Edleston.
On Friday it is our special assembly for Grandparents, we have got 26 coming. I am sure they will have a lovely time and hopefully they will enjoy their Christmas cakes made by Y1 children. On Friday some of our children from Y4 and Y5 are going for a Christmas lunch at Ruskin. Lucky things!
Please remember that we do not finish until Thursday December 22nd, at 2pm.
Have a good week everyone - Mrs Bagni
